Job Summary
Under the direction of the Manager, in collaboration with a multi-disciplinary health care team, and in accordance with established policies, procedures, and standards, the Home Support Supervisor assesses, plans, organizes and coordinates client care services being delivered; evaluates the care provided by Community Health Workers; and supervises designated staff.
Qualifications
Education, Training and Experience
* Baccalaureate degree in Nursing from an approved post-secondary institution and two (2) years recent related experience in a relevant care setting, including experience in staff supervision and evaluation and recognized post basic experience in community health OR an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
* Current practicing registration with the
College of Registered Nurses of British Columbia (CRNBC)
* CPR Level C (BLS).
Demonstrated Skills and Abilities
* Supervise and evaluate designated staff, including the ability to identify and refer performance problems
* Ability to conflict and problem solve, seeking out information and/or resources not readily available
* Intervene in crises and difficult situations
* Meet deadlines; assess, identify and address learning needs of designated staff
* Physically carry out the duties of the position
* Travel is a requirement of this position. Transportation arrangements must meet operational requirements
* Other abilities as per job description.
