POSITION: TEMPORARY FULL TIME REGISTERED NURSES
 DEPARTMENT: REGIONAL MENTAL HEALTH PROGRAM - FORENSIC PROGRAM
 SITE: NBRHC – NORTH BAY CAMPUS
 HOURS: ALL SHIFTS AS SCHEDULED
The NBRHC anticipates the need to fill TEMPORARY Registered Nurse vacancies for the following units:
Forensic Assessment Unit – Deer Lodge
Forensic Transition Unit – Eagle Lodge
Forensic Secure Rehabilitation Unit – Heron Lodge
Forensic General Rehabilitation Unit – Owl Lodge
Registered Nurses (RNs) with previous mental health/psychiatric nursing experience are preferred.
Qualifications and Technical Competencies
- Current Certificate of Registration ~ College of Nurses of Ontario required
- Current BCLS Certificate required
- Knowledge of Recovery Oriented Practice Supporting Patient Choice
- Good working knowledge of the College of Nurses of Ontario Standards of Nursing Practice required
- Demonstrated leadership skills and ability to apply conflict resolution skills required
- Excellent level of interpersonal skills required
- Excellent level of written and verbal communication skills required
- Ability to effectively provide health teaching to individuals and groups required
- Ability to effectively assume a leadership role as a collaborative member of the health team required
- Computer literacy is an asset
- Good attendance and work record required
- Ability to work with minimal supervision required
- Must demonstrate commitment to ensure your safety, the safety of fellow workers, patients, volunteers and visitors
- Must support and contribute to a culture of safety and prevention of adverse health events in this organization
- Bilingualism (English/French) is an asset
Criminal Reference Check: recent, within two (2) months is a requirement
