About the Opportunity
Mnaamodzawin Health Services Inc. has a fantastic opportunity for Community Health Manager to join their friendly and dedicated team on Manitoulin Island.
Your goal will be to manage health programs, supervise CHNs, and work in conjunction with five different First Nation communities (Aundeck Omni Kaning, Sheguiandah, Sheshegwaning, Whitefish River, and Zhiibaahaasing) through their health centres to ensure quality health prevention strategies properly address multi-diverse chronic diseases present in each community.
To be successful in this position, you will need to have a nurse diploma and be in good standing with The College of Registered Nurses. Specialized health-related experience is essential, as is experience with First Nation communities and knowledge of the Anishnaabe Culture/Customs.
In addition, you must also have 3 years of community nursing experience including 2 years of related management experience and knowledge in program development. You are also well versed in implementing and evaluating programs and overseeing client records and data management. An understanding of the privacy legislation is also required.
A valid driver’s license will be necessary as you will be travelling to the First Nation communities. Successful candidates must also be able to pass a security check.
