Our team of professional occupational health specialists practice and support OPG's commitment to all employees' health and well-being. A seasoned, energetic professional, you will work with our team of health professionals providing on-site occupational health nursing and sanctioned medical services, including disability management, wellness and educational programs, employee health management, health surveillance, and rehabilitation.
Specifically, you will:
* provide advice, guidance and assistance to line management and employees in health-related matters such as job modifications, work restrictions, and the promotion of a healthy and safe work environment.
Qualifications
To meet the challenges of this dynamic opportunity, you must:
* be registered with the College of Nurses of Ontario;
* have a minimum of two years of occupational health or community health nursing experience;
* have experience managing health-related matters such as job placement, work modifications and the promotion of healthy and safe work environments;
* have strong knowledge of relevant legislation and community agencies;
* have enhanced skills as a teacher and counselor;
* be an excellent presenter who works well as part of a team; and
* have excellent problem-solving skills.
A degree or equivalent training with a postgraduate certificate in Occupational Health is ideal for this position.
WORKING ENVIRONMENT
This position supports the OPG wellness program in an industrial setting.
